The course was honored to be one of the featured Brazilian profiles in the long-awaited 2nd volume of the series. Fazenda da Grama is described as “…a lovely core golf course in a valley about an hour north…” of Sao Paulo. “The variety of undulation in the valley is outstanding, and the best of it has been utilized on the four par-5 holes…”
The course’s Makulot #7 has been included among The 500 World’s Greatest Golf Holes by the Editors of Golf Magazine.
PGA.com awards Nags Head Golf Links as ‘Best Links-Style Golf Course in the US’. Designed by Bob Moore, this course presents a true Scottish links-style championship course nestled into the natural, windswept environment of the Outer Banks where sand dunes and rugged coastline create a unique and memorable golf experience. Other finalists included Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes, Whistling Straits and Chambers Bay.
Brian Costello was honored to be selected to author the Lead Essay for the latest edition of ‘Golf Architecture – A Worldwide Perspective, Volume Six’ compiled by Paul Daley. The story of the Black Stone Golf & Resort in Jeju, Korea was thoughtfully detailed from initial concepts through completion and the creative process that brought forth this ‘modern classic’.
The American Society of Landscape Architects elevated Mark Hollinger to the ASLA Council of Fellows in November of 2014. Fellowship is among the highest honors the ASLA bestows on members and recognizes the contributions of these individuals to their profession and society at large based on their works, leadership and management, knowledge, and service.
Robert Moore was a Panelist at the Asia Pacific Golf Summit 2013 recently held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Bob was also on hand to accept two awards. JMP received the distinction of being named among the Top Three Golf Course Architects in the Asia-Pacific region for the third year in a row. The second commendation, “Best Golf Course in Indonesia”, was awarded to Royale Jakarta Golf Club for the second year in a row, a recently opened course designed by Mr. Moore.
RAINBOW HILLS GOLF CLUB, Bogor, Indonesia
The third 9-holes at Rainbow Hills Resort is now open. The golf course was designed by JMP as a 27-hole facility. The original 18-holes opened in the mid-1990’s and has since matured into a beautiful golf course. Golf Magazine selected the 4th Hole as one of the “World’s Best 500 Golf Holes.” According to Bob Moore, “The third 9-holes named the Stone Course is the most visually spectacular of the three nines. This additional nine will greatly enhance the golf experience at Rainbow Hills and present the Club with operational flexibility.”
BLACK STONE EXCLUSIVE GOLF CLUB – ICHEON, Icheon, Korea
Selected as the home course for the European Tour’s Ballantine’s Championship for the 2011 through 2013 seasons. This 27-hole high-end private golf club is located about 1 hour from Seoul with membership values near the top of the market. Each combination of the 9-hole loops yields a par 72 – 7,300 plus yard test of demanding golf. The course features magnificent ridgeline views, beautifully landscaped creeks & lakes and secluded forest glens. Awarded “Korea’s Best New Golf Courses 2010-2011” and a “5-Star” ranking by Golf Digest in 2010.
DONGZHUANG BEACH GOLF CLUB, Shanghai, China
Located adjacent to the Shanghai Pudong International Airport and along the mouth of the Yangtze River is the new 36-hole Dongzhuang Beach (Shanghai) Golf Club. This golf-only project consists of two 18-hole golf courses. One is a traditional Parkland course featuring lakes, streams and tree lined fairways and colorful landscaping throughout. The second course offers a seaside Links-style course featuring long grasses and unusual undulating landforms.
JIAN LAKE BLUE BAY GOLF CLUB & SEASIDE RESORT, Lingshui, Hainan Island, China
A new 18-hole seaside course situated along the South China Sea offers a par 72, 7,300 yard championship test of links golf. The course features beautiful sugar sand dunes and colorful landscaping. The course respects the traditions of famous Scottish-links while integrating new strategic elements and features. In addition to the oceanfront golf, a Westin Hotel and resort development will provide luxurious accommodations to enhance the island golf experience. The course will host the LPGA Blue Bay golf championship in October 2014.
PADIVALLEY GOLF CLUB, Makassar, Sulawesi, Indonesia
This new 18 hole championship course is the first ‘world-class’ golf on the island of Sulawesi. A combination of elevated ridges, panoramic views, rocky stream channels, expansive lakes and strongly defined valleys create a beautiful setting for golf and an idyllic location for this mixed-use resort. Plans include resort hotel, golf villas, country club and residential enclaves. Renowned Indonesian golf critic Dennis Kloeth stated “Bob Moore was hired to design a memorable golf experience. He truly succeeded by blending the course into a breathtaking piece of prime Gowa land….. eye-candy of supreme quality”. In 2012 the ASEAN Tour played the Gowa Classic at Padivalley.
SENAYAN NATIONAL GOLF CLUB, Jakarta, Indonesia
Located in the center of Jakarta, Senayan National Golf Club is one of the most historic golf courses in Indonesia. Its proximity to the Heart of Indonesia’s center of government and the country’s economic hub provide Senayan with a unique golf market. JMP’s total renovation of the golf course included the re-routing of 12 holes, water quality enhancements, flood control measures, total turf conversion, the introduction of ‘strategic design’ concepts, and the creation of a new and exciting appearance. Less than one year after reopening, Senayan National Golf Club was selected as the Best Golf Course Renovation in Asia 2012 at the Asia Pacific Golf Summit.
SHINE DALE GOLF CLUB, Gangwon Province, Korea
Forests of pine, fir and hardwood combined with breathtaking views provide the backdrop for this high-end public golf enclave located less than an hour’s drive from the Gangnam District of Seoul. The 27-hole routing features themed 9-hole loops that add depth and unique interest to each 18-hole combination. The stately clubhouse adds another layer of elegance and offers the perfect venue for relaxation amid this beautiful country retreat.
TAOHUA YUAN GOLF CLUB, Changzhi Island, China
The first 9-holes and expansive practice range facility are open for play on Changzhi Island situated just south of Zhoushan Island. This 18-hole championship course is the centerpiece of a seaside resort & residential community. Upon completion the course will feature nine dramatic holes along the sea.
YANQING SPLENDID HOT SPRINGS RESORT, Yanqing, China
This area, north of Beijing, is renowned for the hot springs but add golf to the regions’ newest attractions. The resort complex offers 27-holes of ‘splendid’ golf set against the base of a spectacular mountain range. The Badaling section of the Great Wall of China is the best preserved portion of the wall and is visible from the resort.
360º GOLF CLUB, Yeoju, Korea
This 18-hole high-end public golf course will be leading the wave of new daily-fee facilities destined to be developed over the next decade in Korea. Golfers are treated like a “member-for-a-day” and encounter a golf experience that exceeds the expectations of even the most sophisticated and discerning golfer. Sited in forested terrain the golf course meanders through cascading waterfalls and pristine lakes affording spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. BUKIT PANDAWA GOLF CLUB, Bali, Indonesia
On the most southern coastline of Bali along dramatic cliffs rising from the Indian Ocean, a new 18-hole executive golf course is emerging from the limestone landscape. Bukit Pandawa Golf Club weaves its way from elevated ridges to ocean cliff edges and features 10 holes with ocean views. The course is centrally located amongst four new 5-star hotels that include Mandarin Oriental, Raffles, Fairmont and Waldorf Astoria. The golf course is characterized by intricate greens complexes, rock outcroppings, architectural ruins and a natural landscape theme.
GREATWALL GOLF CLUB, Baoding, China
The 36-hole golf complex is dramatically and sensitively routed along an urban river corridor south of Beijing. The Wetland and Parkland courses will offer varied settings and golf experiences. Additionally, a meandering trail system provides alternative recreational opportunities to view this restored wetland eco-scape. Completion is targeted for the middle of 2016.
JIUZHAIGOU SHANGRI LA MOUNTAIN RESORT, Sichuan Province, China
The setting for the 18-hole resort golf course is as the name suggests…Shangri La. Located near the famous “World Culture Heritage” site of Juizhaigou Valley Scenic Spot in western Sichuan Province the course will be open for play in the Summer of 2015. A new Banyan Tree Resort Hotel will overlook the golf course surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of this high mountain alpine plateau reminiscent of the Alps.
POLY PARK 2010 – GUIYANG, Guiyang, China
A new golf and residential community located in China’s south central provincial Capital City of Guiyang. The course has been carefully routed through a beautiful valley and rolling hillside terrain. Each 9-hole loop presents a sequence of holes that incorporate lakes and meandering water courses. Of particular note is the exciting finishing sequence of Holes 16 through Hole 18 with the water providing strategic and aesthetic definition. Completion is anticipated in 2015.
SHANDONG XUEYE LAKE GOLF CLUB, Jinan, China
This exclusive lakeside residential golf community is strategically located near the capital of Shandong Province. The 18-hole golf course and practice facility are thoughtfully integrated into the master-planned development. Players will appreciate the strategic design that presents optional routes of play to attack each hole.
MANYARAN HILLS GOLF CLUB, Semarang, Indonesia
Padang Golf Manyaran Indah is an existing ‘bare bones’ 18-hole golf course located in a beautiful valley within a 20 minute drive of Semarang’s international airport. The Owner of the Project has acquired adjacent properties in order to incorporate additional land uses into the golf property. The Master Plan includes hotels, convention center, offices, hospital, apartments and residential villas. The golf course is being totally rerouted and increased in both length and challenge to provide a professional tournament venue. Construction is underway.
SILVER CLOUD GOLF CLUB, Fuzhou, China
This new 18-hole golf resort is conveniently located in the City of Fuzhou within China’s southeastern Fujian Province. The project will feature an upscale residential component surrounding the centerpiece golf course, as well as a full-service clubhouse and hot spring hotel complex. The course is scheduled to be open for play in the Summer of 2015.

PALO ALTO HILLS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB, Palo Alto, California
The 18-hole, par 72 layout which incorporated in 1958, offers spectacular sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay and is located next to the 500-plus acre Arastradero Open Space Preserve. JMP is working closely with the membership and key staff to create a Renovation Master Plan that addresses short and long-term interests for the private club. The club is faced with the immediate need to selectively remove diseased Monterey Pines and continue a program to reduce irrigation use, including turf reduction, in light of the on-going drought in the greater region now entering the 4th year. The Renovation Master Plan will provide a clear vision that guides the transformation of the course from a parkland, tree-lined style to a more ‘rustic’ and open character that is in greater harmony with the open space preserve.
KOTA BARU PARAYHANGAN GOLF CLUB, Bandung, Indonesia
This 18-hole championship golf course is an integral component of Kota Baru Parayhangan, a carefully planned and implemented mixed use development located in Bandung. Spreading over an area of 1,250 hectares, Kota Baru surrounds the upper reaches of Lake Saguling. This “new city” is already home to 2,100 residences, the Mason Pines Hotel, international schools, an architecturally unique mosque, restaurants, a commercial center and an arts colony. The golf course is designed to meander along the edges of Lake Saguling, to flow into the surrounding deeply incised valleys and to provide panoramic views from the mountain flanks that surround the development. Construction is planned for the 4th quarter of 2015.
CITRA RAYA GOLF CLUB, Jambi, Indonesia
This new 18 hole golf course is a recreational component of Citra Raya City, a 645 hectare (1,580 acre) mixed use development located in the city of Jambi, on the east coast of Sumatra. The Project will include shopping center, business park, hotels, hospital, schools, water park and a wide variety of housing. The project is being developed by Ciputra, one of the largest and most successful property developers in Southeast Asia.
